DSS Speaks with the Edo APC Chieftain for Security.

In order to protect the human lives and political rights during the upcoming Edo State 2020 Gubernatorial Election, the department of state and security has met with some Chieftain of the all progressive congress over the  level of security that is to be ensured during the election.

This meeting was held under the formal Chief Whip of the Senate, Roland Owie, who was analysing the differences between them and the people's democratic party PDP which stated that the deployment of the state Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Adeyinka Ayinla from the state was as a result of the political system.

But in reaction to Owie's statement,
Chris Nehikhare, the spokeperson of the people's democratic party reviewed that the redeployment of Ayinla was influenced by the APC party who is an opposition party to the people's democratic party in order to make way for there riggings.

The formal Chief Whip of the Senate, Roland Owie, yesterday, boldly said that more than 80 per cent of NSCDC’s Operatives in Nigeria has nothing to do with all the political parties in the country and he said that just to tell the other political parties not to get them involved in there politics.

An aide to one of the APC Chieftains confirmed the progress of the meeting where the DSS  invited ten leaders of the APC in its office in Benin City on Saturday, and the aim of the meeting which was to seek for peace in the forthcoming Gubernatorial Election in the state, and they also urged them to inform there party members and supporters to adhere with the opinion.

Still in the meeting, while speaking about maintaining peace in the election, the Chieftains of the all progressive congress APC, stated that ever since their party started their campaign, they have not recorded any act of violence but the People's democratic party has recorded so many act of violence, since they started their campaign, so for this reason, they advised the DSS to also invite the People's democratic party Chieftains for the same kind of meeting.
